SS 310H Plate is developed for enhanced creep resistance made by a high carbon modification. In most instances the grain size and carbon content of the ASTM A240 Type 310H plate can meet both the 310S and 310H requirements.SS 310H Sheet can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.UNS S31009 Plate heat uniformly at 1742 – 2192°F (950 – 1200°C). After hot forming of Stainless Steel 310H Chequered Plate a final anneal at 1832 – 2101°F (1000 – 1150°C) followed by rapid quenching is recommended.ASME SA240 TP 310H Sheet cold forming of pieces with long-term exposure to highest temperature is not recommended since the alloy is subject to sigma phase precipitants and carbide precipitation.Stainless Steel 310H Coils can be readily welded by most standard processes including SMAW, SAW, TIG, PLASMA, MIG, and FCAW.

For imperial weight calculations of SS 310H sheet and SS 310H plate certain measurements (fractions) need to be converted to decimal inches. For an accurate calculation, it is also important to allow for the rolling tolerance which affects the thickness and the cutting tolerances which affect the width and length.
