Grade 3CR12 stainless steel plate contains low-cost grade chromium, containing stainless steel fabricated by modifying the properties of grade 409 stainless steel. 3Cr12 Steel Plate resists wet abrasion and mild corrosion. 3Cr12 steel was originally developed by Columbus Stainless, with designated “3CR12” registered trademark. Other designations of this 3CR12 Stainless Steel Plate include UNS S40977/S41003 and 1.4003. 3Cr12 Steel Plate is annealed temperature range is from 700 to 750°C, divided into 25 mm section, and each section is soaked for 1½ hour.
3CR12 stainless steel plates can be obtained in standard, hot-rolled annealed and pickled (HRAP) finish, and 3Cr12 coils are available in 2B or 2D finish. 3Cr12 Plate black finish can also be produced by hot-rolling the material, by leaving a dark oxidized surface on the steel plate. Stainless Steel Plate 3CR12 with black finish has good corrosion resistance and low friction.
